Nicklaus was contracted by Imperial County to provide full-time on-site Construction Management Services for the new Winterhaven Public Safety Facility. The new facility will serve as a shared facility between the County of Imperial Sheriff Department and the County of Imperial Fire Department. The 9,700 square foot pre-engineered building contains three vehicle bays, living quarters and work areas, booking/processing area, interview/monitoring rooms, armory, evidence room, offices, records/storage, kitchen, living room, lounge, bedrooms, lockers and a fitness room. Construction management services for this project included site inspections and documentation during the construction phase to verify compliance with the contract documents. Services also included review and processing of pay applications, change orders, leading the weekly meetings and coordination of submittal and RFI reviews.
