Description: NEI planned and designed a structural tunnel system to transfer personnel and inmates from the Yuma County Sheriff's Office to the Justice Center and New Detention Center. Tunnels are lighted, refrigerated, include security system, fire sprinkler system, observation system and communication system. Tunnel system is also a part of National Security System whereas law enforcement personnel do not have to be outside to travel between populated areas in the event of an attack or disaster.
