The NEI civil engineering management team has a combined experience of more than 110 years and includes construction management experience for both civilian and military projects.
Our civil engineering team works with developers on commercial and industrial projects. Projects require extensive coordination with architects, municipalities, and approval agencies for designs that must consider multiple factors. These factors include budget allowances, city/county requirements, aesthetic design, and utility availability.
Our extensive experience in the Yuma and surrounding communities, including our expert knowledge of regional soils conditions and infrastructure, enables us to aid the developer at the critical early stages of the project site feasibility study.
COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL DESIGN
NEI works with developers on commercial and industrial projects. Commercial project types include site development for apartment complexes, medical establishments, schools, retail stores, municipal establishments, agricultural facilities, and entertainment facilities. Our extensive experience in the Yuma area provides clients with the background they need to make informed decisions with everything from site selection to type of construction and design.
INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECTS
Infrastructure projects include water distribution system design, water treatment plant design, sewer collection system design, flood control projects, and road design.
NEI has recently worked with the City of Yuma to design a water transmission system between 16th Street and 32nd Street at a construction cost of $650,000. Other projects include design of a $5.5 million water distribution system for the Town of Quartzsite. NEI has also recently completed the design and construction oversight of a 1.4 mgd (million gallon per day) water treatment plant for the City of San Luis to provide water to the eastern area of San Luis. NEI is also working with the CIty of Yuma and YMPO to provide all necessary infrastructure for the development of the San Luis Port of Entry project.
SUBDIVISION DESIGN
NEI recently completed a 504 lot subdivision and 9 hole golf course, "The Links at Coyote Wash," in the town of Wellton. We are masterplanning 1500 more lots including another 9 hole golf course and an 18 hole executive golf course.
