About Us
For over thirty years, Nicklaus Engineering, Inc. (NEI) has provided comprehensive architectural, and engineering consulting services from our offices in Yuma Arizona. When NEI founder, Vonne Nicklaus retired in 2010, Ms. Gutierrez and Ms. Canales assumed ownership of NEI.
In 2002, Gutierrez Canales Engineering, PC (GCE) was established through a mentoring relationship with NEI. Stacy Gutierrez, PE, CIH and Marisol Ayon Canales, PE, formed GCE, a minority owned, women owned, certified 8(a) firm to pursue federal projects.
While NEI's strength lies in our long history of providing comprehensive A/E services, surveying and geotechnical services, GCE has become the regional powerhouse in environmental engineering, industrial hygiene, and construction paving projects, especially under federal contracts for military clients.
The two firms, now commonly owned by Ms. Canales and Ms. Gutierrez, work together seamlessly to provide the most comprehensive range of services in the desert southwest.
